Laughing Buddha Bowl
As usual while
exploring New Recipes, I came across this recipe with a strange name “Buddha
Bowl”. There were variety of theories about origin of its name. The most
appropriate being a bowl full of colourful, aromatic, healthy n yummy combo of
greens, proteins, carb , fat etc recommended for those with a belly resembling
that of Laughing Buddha.
Here is what did during
this misadventure.
I used
A cup of cooked rice topped
with ghee n metkut (a traditional Maharashtrian preparation in powder form made
from dry roasted dals n spices)
Half cup of boiled chhole,
cooked alkudi (Colocasia roots),grated radish+beet+carrot (steamed) n cucumber
slices – all dressed with fresh Tahini sauce
For Tahini sauce , I
used freshly roasted white til , garlic ,a pinch of salt, red chilly powder to
taste and few drops of lemon juice- all grinded well into a smooth paste
